Below are the instructions posted by my prof.:
This is to be done by each student individually – teamwork for this assignment is not permitted.
If any of the below is not completed you still need to include the respective sheet and add the “-NOT DONE” as part of the sheet name (suffix), e.g., if you do not submit exercise with code (see below) 1.12, the sheet needs to be named as “1.12 -NOT DONE”.
PART A (40 points):
Complete the following textbook exercises (NN.mm, where “NN” indicates Chapter and “mm” indicates exercise ID under Problems and Exercises at the end of the chapter):
Chapter 5:
5.29, 5.45 (pp. 215, 217)
Chapter 6:
6.9, 6.22 (pp. 241, 242)
Each has the same grading weight.
Your answers to all exercises should be provided in a single Excel document,
using one sheet for each exercise
labeling the sheet with the exercise ID above and
placing the sheets in the order above (include only the exercises that you provide an answer for)
and with your answers properly formatted and zoomed so that they are visible in full when each sheet is opened.
Save your document as “YourLastName.FirstName ADA-I HWx” , where “x” is the HW number in the Assignment Title.
PART B (60 points):
You need to use your Dataiku course account (created in session 3).
Ensure that you work within the Course instance (NYU Capstone) to complete all Dataiku related assignments (see slides from session 3).
Register for and complete these modules (projects):
1. Excel to Dataiku Quick Start : https://academy.dataiku.com/excel-to-dataiku-dss-quick-start (30 minutes)
2. Visual Recipes: https://academy.dataiku.com/path/core-designer/visual-recipes (120 minutes)
3. Collaboration: https://academy.dataiku.com/path/core-designer/collaboration-course-1 (45 minutes)
Add three new sheets to the excel file from Part A, one for each module, and name them “DSS Excel”, “DSS Recipies”, and “DSS Collaboration”.
Using full screen, paste these 4 screenshots from your project(s) on their respective sheet, after you complete each module, in this order:
Screenshot 1 Screenshot 2
Screenshot 3 Screenshot 4.
You need to include the page URL in those full screen screenshots:
1. The project’s main page. You get there by clicking on the project’s name on top. The screenshot needs to include the whole page with the timeline on the right. Use page zoom at 100%.
2. From the main project page, hit the icon with your initial on top left and obtain a screenshot of the page that opens and shows your achievements. Use page zoom at 100%.
3. The Tutorial page from the Academy site, visible when you open the module link above, and zoomed out to show all steps, with the checkmark on those completed. Enure you open this logged in with your NYU student account you registered using the Setup steps above (tutorial check-marks on the left must be shown on the screenshot).
4. Your Academy Profile page. You view this by clicking on the icon at the top right of the tutorial, and hitting “My Academy Profile” from the drop down). Use page zoom at 100%.
Ensure that the sheet with the screenshots shows all 4 screenshots when you open that sheet. Save the file created and upload it as the submission for your assignment.
